When you install Windows for the very first time, there is usually an option to enter the registered owner name for your computer. This registered owner name is stored in the Windows registry and can be viewed by typing winver in the run option in the start menu. For example, in the example below, the registered owner of my computer is Sky.
Let us assume that you bought a computer from somebody else or for some reason wish to change your computer’s registered owner information. It can easily be done using the Windows Registry. All you have to do is to follow the steps below:
Step-1 Open the Windows Registry by typing regedit in the Run option in the Start menu.
Step-2 Navigate to the Registry hive below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion

Step-3 In the right panel, look for the Registered Owner and Registered Organization values and double click on them to change them to anything of your choice.
Now if you were to launch winver again, you will notice that the registered owner of your computer has been changed.
