Most Windows Vista and Windows 7 users are quite used to the balloon notification that show up on the left bottom corner of your screen telling you to do something or warning you about something on your computer. These balloon notifications are usually quite annoying and most of the times we tend to ignore them. It is possible to completely disable these balloon notifications from getting displayed on the screen by simply performing the below Windows Registry tweak.

Step-1 Open the Windows Registry by typing regedit in the Run option in the Start menu.

Step-2 Navigate to the Registry hive below:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Step-3 In the right panel, look for the EnableBalloonTips value and double click on them to change its value to 0 to disable the balloon notifications. If the registry value EnableBalloonTips does not exist, then you have to create it by right clicking on the right hand side panel. In case you wish to enable the balloon notifications back again, then simply change the value back to 1.
