This can be carried out in the following manner:
Step-1 Open the regedit.exe file.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
Step-1 Within the above registry keys, look for and delete corresponding entries of the applications that you want to prevent from automatically getting loaded into the Windows Registry.

Step-2 Other places that one can also look are the Start Up folder (C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp) and the win.ini file.
Step-3 Exit the Windows Registry. You might need to restart the Windows session for the changes to come into effect.
