How To Customize The Windows Security Windows

The Windows Security window is the screen that appears on the screen when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del. Typically a Windows Security window looks like the following:

It is possible to completely customize the Windows Security Window using simple Windows Registry tweaks. All options that appear the screen like Change Password, Lock This Computer, Task Manager and Logoff can be removed from the screen. All you need to do is the following:

Step-1 Open the Windows Registry.

Step-2 Browse to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sofrware\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Step-3 In the right panel, create a new DWORD value with any of the names given below (depending upon which option you wish to disable):

• DisableChangePassword
• DisableLockWorkstation
• DisableTaskMgr

You will need to change the data value of the respective DWORD value to 1 enable to restriction and to 0 to disable the restriction.

Step-4 Now browse to the following Registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sofrware\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Step-5 In the right panel, create a new DWORD value called NoLogOff and change its value to 1 to enable the restriction and to 0 to disable it.
