Menu

Normally, whenever you right click on any file or folder in Microsoft Windows, in the pop up menu there is a SEND TO option that allows you to send the selected file or folder to some other application, folder or device. For example, it may be possible to send a file to WinZip, to some Bluetooth device or someplace else. It is actually possible to customize this SEND TO menu and add any application or folder of your choice to it.

Step-1 Browse to the path %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTousing windows Explorer or simply click on the Windows Orb button and in the search box type shell:sendto. This is the folder where all Send To menu destinations are usually stored. Let us assume that you want to add Notepad to the Send To menu. In that case, all you need to do is to create a new shortcut in the right hand side panel of this folder by right clicking anywhere and then selecting New>Shortcut. Make sure the shortcut points to the path of the Notepad application. You can give any name to the new addition that you just made to the Send To menu.

Step-2 Now, whenever you right click on any file or folder, you will also see Notepad as one of the Send To destination options. Selecting the Notepad option, will open the selected file in Notepad. As simple as that!
