If you try to rename any file or folder in Windows to any of the names below, then you will see an error message and you will not be allowed to make the change:

• CON
• PRN
• LPT1
• LPT2
• NUL
• COM1
• COM2
• CLOCK$

This happens because all the above names are reserved device names and cannot be used as names of files or folders.
